Todays Quote
Birthday Boy
Ben Kingsley

All the great writers root their characters in true human behaviour.
Ben Kingsley

As a singer, I might have fallen among thieves. I wonder if I'd still be alive by now.
Ben Kingsley

As an actor there's no autonomy, unless you're prepared to risk the possibility of starving.
Ben Kingsley

But comedy I'd love to do as much as humanly possible.
Ben Kingsley

But filming is good for you, because the crew isn't allowed to laugh. You can't get addicted to getting the laugh.
Ben Kingsley

Fifteen years before I became a screen actor, I was in the theatre. A lot of my work was comedy, which I loved doing. It's harder.
Ben Kingsley

Filming is so much to do with rhythm, as is music, and if it isn't there then you know in the end nobody can save it really, they can't.
Ben Kingsley

Hamlet is an astonishing intelligence.
Ben Kingsley

Hopefully, as I get older in the business, I make my choices more accurately, and I perhaps know from either the script or the first meeting that it isn't going to work.
Ben Kingsley

I always try to find something I admire about every character I play.
Ben Kingsley

I do remember, as a child, that I always imagined, when I was maybe 6 or 7, my fantasy was that everywhere I went I was being followed by an invisible film crew.
Ben Kingsley

I don't honestly think people know what acting is.
Ben Kingsley

I have a rather naive approach, I think, to my job.
Ben Kingsley

I have never felt bereft of anything.
Ben Kingsley

I honestly have no strategy whatsoever. I'm waiting for that script to pop through the letterbox and completely surprise me.
Ben Kingsley

I just loved playing a man who was unafraid of making an idiot of himself in the process of falling in love. I found that admirable.
Ben Kingsley

I think I'm more bonded, emotionally and in a craft sense, to films that tell extraordinary stories about extraordinary destinies.
Ben Kingsley

I think if I were to go back on stage I might be in great danger of acting.
Ben Kingsley

I think Romeo and Juliet is uplifting. That's how much a son wishes to avenge his father. That is how much two young people can love each other.
Ben Kingsley

I think that all of us either lose touch with the child inside us or try and hold onto it because it so precious to us and it's such an extraordinary part of our lives.
Ben Kingsley

Todays Quote
Birthday Girl

Each year, I say I'm going to go to school next year. It's inevitable that I'll end up getting my education.
Eliza Dushku

For the longest time, I thought I was a boy. I really did. I wore boys' clothes, played tag football.
Eliza Dushku

Go big or go home. Because it's true. What do you have to lose?
Eliza Dushku

I don't care who you are, everyone has been through it - that feeling where you'd like to be someone else.
Eliza Dushku

I don't let guys do hickeys. That's like a dog marking his territory or something.
Eliza Dushku

I remember hitting Sarah Michelle Gellar with a right hook during my first week on the job. It was awful. They usually pair actors with stunt doubles to avoid things like that.
Eliza Dushku

I was raised in Boston by three older brothers and a very strong and empowering single mom.
Eliza Dushku

I'm a more mature actress now.
Eliza Dushku

I'm self-confident and not afraid to speak my mind.
Eliza Dushku

If I wasn't doing this, I'd be in school studying political science or socioeconomic something. I love visiting different cultures and finding out how they make up a society.
Eliza Dushku

In my first movie, That Night, with Juliette Lewis, I had a scene with two other girls where we applied a cream to our chests to make our breasts grow. I was 10.
Eliza Dushku

It's easy to play a bad girl: You just do everything you've been told not to do, and you don't have to deal with the consequences, because it's only acting.
Eliza Dushku

My mom is this liberal, feminist, Mormon powerhouse. I just love her to death.
Eliza Dushku

My mother would take groups of students to different countries and always brought us along, so by the time I was 10, I had been to Russia, China, Nicaragua and several other countries.
Eliza Dushku

My parents divorced when I was born, and my mother is a political science professor, like a feminist Mormon, which is sort of an oxymoron.
Eliza Dushku

The letters from jail are always disconcerting.
Eliza Dushku

There is definitely something sexy about a girl with an attitude and a pair of leather pants.
Eliza Dushku

TV can be a long commitment.
Eliza Dushku

We didn't have a TV in the living room and all my friends thought we were kind of weird. When they'd come over, my mom wanted to talk to them about current events.
Eliza Dushku

When I worked with Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies, she told me, You need a plan B, because when you have six months to a year off, you can go nuts. You need to have another focus.
Eliza Dushku
